Teacher Evaluation: TPEP Courses

Register for one of WEA's professional learning opportunities. All courses on student growth goals focus on the newly revised student growth goal rubrics. Courses will be held virtually. TPEP 101 Artifacts and Evidence (3 clock hours)

Monday, October 3, 2022 or Wednesday, October 12, 2022
4:30pm-6:30pm

Participants will become familiar with the main components of the TPEP 4-tiered evaluation process and learn about updates to the system which enhance professional growth and student learning. Areas of emphasis will include the state criteria, comprehensive and focused evaluation comparisons, and scoring methodologies. This session will demystify the magnitude of collecting and providing evidence, introduce tips to harvest evidence to best represent your instruction, and offer suggestions for authentic evidence aligned to your framework.

Developing TPEP Student Growth Goals (3 clock hours)

Thursday, October 6, 2022 or Thursday, December 8, 2022
4:30pm-7:30pm

Come learn about changes in TPEP Student Growth Goals in Washington state. Examine the shifts, including an increased focus on educator reflection, and the role of educator knowledge of students' assets in developing student growth goals. Learn more about the role that student growth plays in a TPEP evaluation. You will have the opportunity to explore tools and resources for your own student growth goal-setting process.

Cohort Series - Developing TPEP Student Growth Goals (6 clock hours)

Tuesday, October 11, 2022, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, and Tuesday, January 17, 2023
4:30pm-6:30pm

The Cohort is a series of 3 trainings. Please register for all three sessions. Work with a group of educators over three sessions to plan for, implement, monitor, and reflect on a student growth goal-setting process in your own context. Learn about changes in TPEP Student Growth Goals in Washington state. Examine the shifts, including an increased focus on educator reflection, and the role of educator knowledge of students' assets in developing student growth goals. Learn more about the role that student growth plays in a TPEP evaluation. You will have the opportunity to explore tools and resources for your own student growth goal-setting process. Open to all WEA members statewide.
