The NEA Foundation Learning & Leadership Grants
Educators frequently need outside resources to engage in meaningful professional development due to limited district funding. Through the Learning & Leadership grants, tje NEA Foundation supports the professional development of NEA members by providing two levels of grant funding ($2,000 and $5,000) for:
- Individuals to participate in high-quality professional development like summer institutes, conferences, seminars, travel abroad programs, or action research
- Groups to fund collegial study, including study groups, action research, lesson plan development, or mentoring experiences for faculty or staff.
With the coronavirus pandemic impact continuing to unfold, the NEA Foundation is committed to supporting educators, students, and school communities during this extraordinary time. Applicants are encouraged to use these applications to request support for ongoing response efforts to needs that emerged or worsened due to the pandemic, as well as for racial equity work. However, applications that do not fall into either of these categories will still be considered. There are two application deadlines remaining for 2021: June 1 and October 15.
