Stress Management for Educators

School employees that manage their stress in a healthy and effective way are our most valuable resource for creating safe and supportive learning environments, especially during uncertain times. Stress management and your wellbeing are critical in this time. In this workshop, Dr. Peter Barkett, Kaiser Permanente Medical Physician will discuss the impact of stress on our bodies, identify preventative strategies applicable to the school environment, and share easily accessible stress management resources support their daily stress and learn how to manage effectively. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with experts in developing strategies that support and manage their stress.

Healthy Habits for Educators

School employees that are physically healthy are our most valuable resource for creating safe and supportive learning environments, especially during uncertain times. Yet, finding time during the school day to attend to it can be challenging at best. In this workshop, Liz Hulbrock, Kaiser Permanente Registered Dietitian, will help attendees understand the impact nutrition has on their wellbeing and offer resources to help them create reasonable and actionable steps to support healthy living practices individually and collectively. Participants will have opportunity to ask questions and engage the experts in developing strategies that support a healthy workforce.
