Special Education for the General Education Educator
In this training, new and experienced general education educators at all grade levels will learn about the differences between section 504 plans and IEPs and come to understand the general education educator’s role in a special education team. Participants explore both accommodations and modifications, investigate what related learning strategies look like in their classroom, and examine how these strategies improve student learning. In addition, participants review the 13 disability categories of IDEA and learn how to develop levels of performance in partnership with their special education colleagues.
