Bringing Social Justice into the Classroom

Bringing Social Justice Into The Classroom is a comprehensive look at what educators can do within their classrooms. Using examples from classrooms, videos, resources, and time to collaborate and brainstorm, participants will have the opportunity to create a routine framework that can begin in their classrooms tomorrow. Participants will know how to find grade level standard and how to adapt it to their needs, as well as how to think creatively to bring social justice into their lessons and routines. Up to 3 clock hours available.

Using Restorative Justice Practices in Education

Though this course, participants gain an understanding of restorative justice practices that can improve educational outcomes for students.  Restorative justice, which is based on respect, responsibility, relationship-building and relationship-repairing, focuses on mediation and agreement rather than punishment. Using restorative justice practices, educators can help keep students in school and create a safe environment where learning can flourish. Up to 3 clock hours available.
