Special Education Trainings

All 2016-2017 Special Education Trainings have been held. Watch your home email this fall for information on the 2017-2018 training options.

Add to your Special Education toolkit with WEA's Special Education trainings. These trainings, presented by the WEA Special Education Cadre, provide relevant information on the responsibilities of those working with children with disabilities. Trainings are open to educators of the Cascade UniServ Council in the Edmonds, Northshore, and Shoreline school districts. Cost is $20 for members and $155 for non-members. Lunch (or dinner) and clock hours will be provided. See links below for training descriptions and registration information.

Trainings offered for 2016-2017 are:

  • Behavior Interventions - Saturday, November 19, 2016 - Registration Closed
  • Section 504 - Saturday, February 4, 2017 - Registration Closed
  • Special Education & School Safety - Saturday, March 2, 2017 - Registration Closed

Trainings are limited to 45 people. An email with the training registration link will be sent to your HOME email at 9:00 am the day registration opens. Registration will be done online and is on a first come, first served basis. Registrations will NOT be accepted by phone, fax or email. Space is limited, and once a training has been filled a waitlist will be started. If space becomes available, a notification will be sent to the first person on the waiting list. 

Cancelation/No Show Policy: There will be no refunds for no shows and/or cancelations within one week of the event. Cancelations on or before one week prior to the event will receive a full refund.
