English Language Learners: Culture and Equity

This condensed two-day training is intended to support and assist educators in understanding how to apply the best research-based ELL, culture and equity practices in the classroom with a strong focus on equity and cultural responsiveness.

This two-day ELL Culture and Equity training module focuses on the following objectives:

  • Engage ELL students in academic learning and English language development
  • Recognize cultural and equity assumptions and culturally relevant instruction 
  • Create classroom and school environments that facilitate language learning
  • And more!

Cost for this training is $100 for WEA members and $400 for non-members. Following the ELL Culture and Equity Training, participants will be able to immediately apply their new lens of ELL strategies into their classrooms. Space for this training is limited, and WEA members will be seated on a first come, first served basis.
